On 4 May 2026, JM GLOBAL LDA held the Public Consultation session that forms part of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process for its project, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability, transparency and ongoing dialogue with communities and other stakeholders.
The session was an important moment of public participation, allowing the project to be presented, information on potential environmental and social impacts to be shared, and contributions, concerns and suggestions to be gathered from participants. Public participation is an essential stage of the Environmental Impact Assessment process in Mozambique, as required under national legislation.
The Environmental Impact Assessment is being carried out by the firm AAS, represented at this event by Isaac Jamal, MSc, who led the technical presentation of the work, addressed questions raised by participants, and underlined the importance of incorporating community input into the study.
JM GLOBAL LDA thanks all participants — local authorities, community leaders, representatives of public and private institutions, and community members — whose collaboration is essential to building a project that is environmentally responsible, socially inclusive, and aligned with best practice in sustainable development.
